Well, I think the hard part is done, at least I hope so. I’ve been obsessing on my project and neglecting this blog for nearly three months. What have I been doing?
I’m glad you asked. You did ask, didn’t you?
With a great sense of relief, and pleasure I can report that I’ve finished the manuscript for Those Kids Deserve Water Too: A History of the Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District, and sent it off for editorial review and preparation for publishing. It was exhausting, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
The District is a testament to the good that can be accomplished with a little vision, and stick-to-itiveness.
Some time this spring Those Kids Deserve Water Too will be released. I will keep you posted.
During my research, that now fills three bankers’ boxes, I conducted thirty-five interviews. I just finished compiling those transcriptions into a single volume which I have sent on its way to be to be printed and bound in preparation for donating to the Museum.
With that chore finished I hope to get back in the swing of blogging while waiting to launch Those Kids Deserve Water Too.
